Sankalpa is a non-profit organization committed to environmental sustainability and community wellness. Based in New Jersey, we lead initiatives such as native tree plantations, removal of invasive plants, plastic reduction, and educational outreach to inspire greener living.

Our commitment to community care also includes seasonal toy and food drives, fostering a spirit of compassion and support for those in need. At Sankalpa, we believe that small, mindful actions can lead to lasting change -- for our neighborhoods and our planet.

Our mission is to protect and restore the environment through impactful conservation efforts, inclusive education, grassroots advocacy, and community-driven initiatives. We are committed to creating a more sustainable and resilient future for all.
We prioritize projects based on environmental urgency, scientific data, community relevance, and alignment with our strategic objectives. We also encourage our members and volunteers to submit project proposals, outlining the issue, proposed solution, feasibility, expected impact, budget, and duration.
You can sign up to volunteer through our website or by reaching out to our team directly. We offer opportunities from hands-on fieldwork to remote support. Every October, we celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Month, honoring volunteers with certificates presented by distinguished guests.
Our funding is sourced through individual donations (including crowd-sourcing), institutional grants, corporate sponsorships, and foundations that support environmental sustainability.
We follow a structured governance model called PRIME (Proposal -> Review -> Implement -> Monitor -> Evaluate). Projects are regularly monitored, data is analyzed, and collaborations with environmental organizations help us determine whether to execute a project directly or through partners.
Yes, we are a registered nonprofit organization. All eligible donations are tax-deductible in accordance with local tax regulations.
We are overseen by a Board of Trustees (BoT), which provides strategic direction, ensures accountability, and upholds ethical governance and transparency.
Yes. We actively collaborate with local communities, government bodies, and fellow NGOs to amplify our collective impact.
Becoming a member is simple and accessible. You can join through personal referral by an existing member or apply directly through our online membership portal. Once registered, new members receive orientation and are invited to participate in ongoing programs and planning sessions.
